BLACK BERRY DERIVATIVE

BLACK BERRY DERIVATIVE

Anthocyanins are natural pigments that provide color to fruits, vegetables, and other plants. Of the 14 main anthocyanins, C3G (cyanidin-3-glucoside) is the most powerful. Recently, there has been new research looking at C3G as an antioxidant and its potential health benefits. Research shows C3G and anthocyanins in general may be linked to improving vision, controlling diabetes, improving circulation, preventing cancer and retarding the effects of aging, particularly the loss of memory and motor skills

Cyanidin-3-glucoside, a natural product derived from blackberry, exhibits chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic activity.

  • A recent animal study published in the Journal of Biological         Chemistry showed C3G has significant chemopreventative and chemotherapeutic activity in vivo. (1)
  •  C3G was found to have the highest ORAC activity compared with the 14 main anthocyanins. (2)
  •  C3G has 3.5 times stronger ORAC activity than Trolox (analog of vitamin E). (2)
  •  C3G is bioavailable. (3,4,5,6)
  •  Thousands of studies support the safety and health benefits of         anthocyanins and C3G
